Familiar Names in the Spotlight January 31, 2000
We're barely into the year 2000, and have all these new members on tour, but the names that we're accustomed to are the one's on the trophies. Tiger Woods has already won, no surprise there. Tom Lehman has won twice after coming so close so many times. And Paul Azinger appears to be back as well. On the LPGA, it's Carrie Webb, and the usual suspects following. And even on the European Tour, it's Campbell and Westwood.
How about the new kids? And are they really all that new?
Thanks to The Golf Channel and publications like Golf Week, nobody is sneaking up on anybody. The Senior Skins was like wathing Big 3 Golf on The Golf Channel. Those who once made fun of, possibly once were, and may still be, the fan glued to the television watching football, baseball, or car racing, have become that same fan in the ripped tee shirt and a Bud, only now wearing golf shirts and drinking Sam Adams.
So my predictions for 2000, Tiger Woods, David Duvall, Tom Lehman, Davis Love, etc., Colin Montgomery, Lee Westwood, Jose Miguel Jimenez, etc., Carrie Webb, Anika Sorensen, Julie Inkster, etc., and I won't be bored for one second.
Oh yeah, Watson, Nicklaus, & Irwin on the Senior Tour.

December 1, 1999
Well, The Results of the Ametek Aerospace Invitational are in, and they ain't pretty!
In a tournament where high winds can benefit a high handicap,
there was a tie at the top of the leader board between Donny Harwood, and Hal Harnois. Both players finished with a +1 under the Ametek point scoring system, and decided to split the winnings, rather than hold a playoff. Neil Cronin came home even to finish in third place alone, followed by numbers too embarrassing to mention.
This tournament marks the end of the Ametek season, which will officially reopen with a 4 day Patriots Day event in 2000. The course location of the event has yet to be determined. Be sure to visit us often for tour updates.
November 1, 1999
The top Golfers of Ametek Aerospace will compete at The Colonial Golf Course in Wakefield, MA. This will be a one day, 18 hole event. Tee times will begin at 10:00am, and the event will NOT be covered on The Golf Channel.
